The Board of Education of Southeast Valley Community School District met in a regular session. President Miller called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM
Roll Call:
Shannon Miller, Allan Wicklein, Sean Stewart, Jim Carlson, Katie VanSickle, Joni Hefley
Absent: Jeff Ackerson
Additional attendees were, Brian Johnson, Superintendent and Lisa Willardson, Business Manager, Shayden Hefley- High School Board Representative, Kerry Ketcham, and 1 public member.
Motion by KV,seconded by AW to approve the consent items. Consent items includedagenda, minutes from prior meeting, payment of bills presented, personnel changesas presentedand any open enrollment requests.
There were no open enrollment requests
Personnel items included:
Zach Steinhoff –Additional Administrative Services
Trenton Meyer –Volunteer HS Football –pending authorization
ChloeYaudas –MS Associate

Jaguar Jubilations – We had a number of students that had great success at the state fair. The highlight being Aiden Anderson who was awarded “Premier Exhibitor in Horticulture” for plants and vegetables mostly grown at our greenhouse.
Committee reports:
School Improvement – None at this time
Public Relations –Mr. Johnson provided the board with information that will be sent out via JMC to parents. Facilities & Grounds –A tour of the completed HS locker rooms was conducted prior to the meeting. A list of all change orders was submitted to the board for review. Appreciation was expressed to the construction workers who worked really hard to get the project to this point in the short time required.
Negotiations/Finance –The finance committee met to discuss early retirement for several classifications/categories. Attendance incentives were also discussed

Motion by AW,seconded by JH to approvethe 2025-2026 Board of Education goals and mission statement.
Themission statement being:
Southeast Valley Schools provides students with the opportunity to acquire skills and knowledge to allow them to become productive and responsible citizens.
The goals can be found on the Southeast Valley website under district.

Motion by SS,seconded by JC to approvethe offering of the Early Retirement package to Full-Time Classified Department Heads.The Early Retirement package will consist of $50 per sick day, per diem for unused vacation days up to 45 days, plus a one-time payout of $5,000for employees working in the district 25 years or more, $3,500 for 18-24 years, $2,500 for 12-17 years. To be eligible they must be 55 years old and have 10 years of servicein our district. Ayes: Miller, Wicklein, Stewart, Carlson, VanSickle, Hefley
