· Congrats to the boys track and field team on winning their class 2A state qualifying meet last night at Sioux Central. The boys had ten events qualify for the state meet. Meet winners were the Sprint Medley team of Bryce Harrison, Kayden Showers, Logan Jaeschke, and Colin Johnson, the shuttle hurdle team of Alex Burger, Casey Hanson, Kolton Ollinger, Colin Johnson, the 4x100 relay of Casey, Logan, Bryce and Kayden. The 4x400m relay of Kolton Ollinger, Alex Burger, Keelan Wellman and Logan Jaeshke. Individual winners were Colin Johnson in the 110 hurdles and 400 hurdles and Kayden Showers in the 200m dash. Runner up finishers were Logan Jaeschke 200m dash, Alex Burger 400m hurdles and Owen Nuss 800m run.
· Attention girls track if you make it to State, you will have a quick practice after school today. If you did not make it to State, you will need to bring your warm-ups and uniforms to coach Swieter Monday in a labeled bag and put on his desk. Congrats to the Sprint Medley Relay and 4 x 400m relay teams on setting new school records. Top ten all-time best last night were set by Deegan Brandel 3rd in Discus, Owen Nuss 2nd in the 800, Colin Johnson 2nd in the 400m hurdles, Lincoln Akins 3rd in the 1600 and 4 x 100m 3rd all-time.
· Congratulation to the girls 4 x 100 and 4 x 200 in setting new School records last night. This is Avery Hanson, Sage Lane, Mae Searcy and Madelyn Farley. They will know more today if either one of these made it to State. Congratulations to Goldie Davis and sending a new 1500 school record. Congratulations to Avery Hanson and placing second in the open 200 and qualifying for State.
