The joint regular meeting of the Board of Education of Southeast Webster Grand and Prairie Valley met in regular session.
President Wicklein called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM Roll Call:

Southeast Webster Grand: Motion by VanSickle, seconded by Swanson to approve the consent agenda items, including the agenda, minutes, open enrollment applications, financials as presented and bills.

The good conduct appeal, (f) on the agenda, was moved to the top of the meeting to allow the participants to not have to wait until the end of the meeting. Parents of two students that were found to have violated the good conduct policy asked to address the board. The parents wanted to address what they felt were challenges with the good conduct policy. It was agreed by the board to review and make updates to the policy, but that they would not make any of the changes retroactive.
The board discussed getting quotes on 2 rideable floor scrubbers.
The School Improvement Advisory Committee meeting was held on March 9, 2023 at Southeast Valley High School. It was successful, and the student presenters did a great job.
The Budget proposal was provided to the board. A review of the information was done to ensure the budget was ready to send to the paper for publishing. A public hearing will be held prior to the April 12th Board Meeting. To approve the annual budget as proposed.
Mr. Ketcham wanted everyone to know that the FFA banquet was a great success. It was Mr. Kehoe’s last meeting, and everyone was grateful for what he has done for the students.

Individual building and department reports were given. Copies of the reports are available in the Central Office.
Prairie Valley: Motion by McGuire, seconded by Hefley to approve the resignation of Taylor Petzenhauser to be a stay at home mom and the resignation of Derek Rasmussen as JH Wrestling Coach. The board expressed appreciation to both departing employees.

Southeast Valley: Motion by Stewart , seconded by Carlson to approve Andrea Walsh, Jim Duncan and Janet Wills as the 2023-2024 Teacher Leader Instructional Coaches, as well as the hiring of Hope Morken – 8th Grade Social Studies teacher for 2023-2024 and the transfer of Karen Hayes to 6th Grade Social Studies for 2023-2024.
