JVR Boys Host Greene County

The Southeast Valley JVR Boys Basketball team hosted Greene County Monday, February 9th, in Gowrie. The young Jaguars battled hard throughout the entire game, and should be proud of their outstanding effort! August Akins fueled the offense, dropping an impressive 19 points for the Jaguars. The Jags fell to the Rams in the final seconds, 47-50. 

Scoring for the Jaguars include; August Akins-21, Asher Loeffler-6, Parker Bintz-7, Ethan Martin-4, Mason Newell-3, Blaine Peterson-2, Elijah Weier-2, Enman Bird-2.  

The JVR now holds a record of 5-8.

JVR Boys Finish 2025-26 Season at Home 

The Southeast Valley JVR Boys basketball team took the floor for the final time this season Thursday, February 12th. The Jaguars hosted Clarion Goldfield Dows. When the final buzzer sounded, the Jags fell to the Cowboys 38-58. The JVR boys ended the season with a 5-9 overall record. 

Scorers for the Jaguars include; August Akins-22, Ethan Martin-9, Elijah Weier-5, Tucker Ollinger-2. 

Coach Johnson, Coach Gutshall, Coach Dahlstrom, and Coach Sorenson congratulate the JVR team on their season. A special thank you to our manager Caleb Shirbroun! The coaching staff is proud of the advancements these young Jaguars have made throughout this season. All the positive support that surrounds these players is much appreciated by all who are involved. These young athletes can not grow and thrive without all the help and positivity that surrounds them. Thank you to all the Jaguar families involved in that support system, and “Thank you boys” for a great JVR season.
