The JV Boys for SV Basketball earned a 50-43 road victory on Monday, January 5th, 2026. The young Jaguars opened up the new year facing the East Sac County Raiders.  

East Sac County came out hot from the field, jumping out to a 11-4 advantage in the opening quarter of play. The Jaguars never panicked, and won the final three quarters of play to earn the win. The Jaguars outscored East Sac 46-32 in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters of action.

Conner Rentz paced the team with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals and one blocked shot. Landon Vote contributed 8 of his 12 points in the fourth quarter, while adding 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals in the game. Dawson Tuel and Caden Cramer each scored 8 points. Tuel (8) and Cramer (7) also rebounded very well in competition. Spencer Peterson chipped in with 4 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals and one blocked shot. Declan McGuire added 3 points and 3 steals. Carver Peterson and Jacob Paterson both earned two rebounds, and Colby Peterson recorded an assist.
