Gowrie-- The JV Boys for SV hosted Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Thursday night, February 12th. The Jaguars trailed as much as 16 in the 2nd quarter, and were down 17-31 entering the intermission break. The Jaguars didn't fold and cut the Cowboys' lead to just 3 points late in the 4th quarter. In the end, the Cowboys made their free throws and the Jaguars fell by the score of 48-57. The game was decided at the free throw line, with CGD getting to the line 19 times and were successful on 14 free shots. The Jaguars only made it to the free throw line 5 times in the contest, making four of their chances.  

Conner Rentz paced the Jaguars with 16 points, 10 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists. Dawson Tuel added 9 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists. Carver Peterson added 8 points and one assist.  

Jacob Paterson, Spencer Peterson, and Caden Cramer all scored 4 points a piece. Paterson and Peterson also rebounded with 6 and 4 boards, respectively. Landon Vote rounded out the Jaguar scoring with 3 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals. Colby Peterson and Declan McGuire also competed in the game.

The JV group finished the season 16-2, capping off another successful season of hard work, effort, and growth. Coaches Kyle Johnson, Steve Gutshall, Amber Sorenson, and Ryan Dahlstrom congratulate the JV team on a strong season and look forward to continued success, dedication, and work ethic for years to come; both on and off the basketball court.
