Gowrie-- The JV Boys' basketball team for SV dropped a heartbreaker versus Greene County on Monday, February 9th. The Jaguars fell by the score of 46-47, with Greene County connecting on a long 3pt attempt with just :02 seconds remaining on the clock to take the lead and survive with the win. The game was a back and forth contest throughout its entirety, with the largest margin of a lead at 2 points or less at each quarter break. The defeat was the first of the season for the young JV squad, now with a record of 16-1.  

Conner Rentz led all scorers with 18 points on 6 for 10 shooting, and 5 for 7 from the free throw line. Rentz also contributed with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Caden Cramer added 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals.  

Landon Vote chipped in with 7 points and 3 assists. Spencer Peterson added 6 points and 3 rebounds. Jacob Paterson rounded out the Jaguar scoring with 5 points. Dawson Tuel finished with 5 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals. Carver Peterson added 2 rebounds off the bench.
