JV Boys Fall to Manson-NW
On Tuesday, December 13th, the JV Boys' basketball team fell to Manson-Northwest Webster by the score of 33-46.
After a back and forth opening quarter, and a score of 10-10, the Jaguars struggled both offensively and defensively in the 2nd quarter. The Cougars outscored the Jaguars 15-4 in the 2nd quarter and led 25-14 at halftime. In the third quarter, The Jaguars again played hard and had better effort compared to the 2nd quarter, scoring 11 points while also matching the 11 points put in by the Manson offense. The Jaguars just could not give up over the hump, and fell by the score of 33-46.
Ross Larson paced the Jaguars in scoring with 14 points (4-10 from 3pt land) and had 2 steals in the game. Brady Hanson chipped in with 9 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals in three quarters of play. Brad Pliner contributed with 6 points, a team-high 7 rebounds, and 3 steals. Preston Kennedy and Nick Field each scored 2 points. Cole Lundgren secured 5 rebounds and had two steals for his efforts off the bench. Lincoln Akins recorded one steal on the night.
