On Monday, February 10th, the JV Boys' basketball team earned a 82-13 road victory versus the Greene County Rams. The Jaguars jumped out to an early 23-6 advantage at the end of the first quarter and never looked back. The Jaguars allowed four made three pointers by the Rams in the 1st half, and set a goal for themselves to keep the Rams from making another 3pt basket the rest of the game. The Jaguars kept the Ram offense to one point scored in the 2nd half.
Four Jaguar players reached double-figures in scoring, led by Ian Brunner with 18 points (8 for 14 shooting), 6 rebounds, and one steal. Nick Field added 15 points (9 for 9 from the charity stripe), 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and one blocked shot. Hayden Butrick went 3 for 3 from 3-pt range, chipping in with 11 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Lincoln Akins added 10 points with 2 assists and 2 steals in the win. Hayden Greene shot 4 for 5 from the floor and added three caroms off the glass. Byrce Harrison tallied 7 points, 6 steals, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds. Karson Roper chipped in with 5 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals. Ethan Tucker added 5 points, and a season-high 4 assists. Cornell Lowery rounded out the Jaguar scoring with 3 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals. Declan McGuire earned 2 steals and an offensive rebound.
