JV Boys Pull Away from SCC

On Monday, December 11th, the JV Boys' Basketball team hosted the SCC Titans for a friendly rivalry basketball game. The Jaguars were able to pull away from SCC in the 2nd and 3rd quarters to earn their third win of the season, earning a 52-28 victory. After trailing 12-14 entering the 2nd quarter, the Jaguars defense stepped up their intensity in the full-court press and held the Titans to only 2 points scored in the 2nd quarter, and zero points in the 3rd quarter.  


Ian Brunner paced the Jaguars in scoring with 10 points and 3 rebounds. Karson Roper chipped in with 8 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals total. Tyler Jondle added 7 points. Nick Field and Cornell Lowery each scored 6 points, with Field also adding a team high 6 steals along with 3 assists. Bryce Harrison scored 5 points, along with 4 rebounds and 1 blocked shot. Lincoln Akins had 4 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals in the contest. Ethan Tucker also contributed with 4 points scored. Spencer Peterson rounded out the Jaguars in scoring with 2 points, while also adding 5 steals and 5 assists in the game. Hayden Butrick and Hayden Greene also played in the game.  


End of Quarter Scores: SCC led 14-12, SV led 30-16, 39-16, 52-28.
