The SV JV Boys hosted Alta-Aurelia on Friday, January 10th, defeating the Warriors by the score of 70-27.  

Cornell Lowery paced the Jaguars in scoring with 18 points (14 in the 2nd half), 5 rebounds, and 5 steals. Byrce Harrison scored 13 points on 5 for 7 shooting from the field, while also adding 7 assists and 5 rebounds. Hayden Butrick chipped in with 11 points on 4 for 6 shooting and 3 for 4 from 3pt land. Lincoln Akins added 7 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals as a steady 6th man off the bench. Karson Roper, Declan McGuire, Kolton Ollinger, and Ethan Tucker all scored 4 points a piece in the contest. Roper also added 3 assists and 2 steals, and Ollinger secured 5 rebounds in only two quarters of action. Nick Field added 3 points, 2 boards off the glass, and 2 assists. Ian Brunner rounded out the Jaguar scoring with 2 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 blocked shots.  

The Jaguars assisted on 23 made baskets and compiled 18 total steals in the game, and shot 6 for 12 from 3pt range.  

End of Quarter scores: Q1: SV led 16-5; Q2: SV led 34-7; Q3: SV led 54-22.  

The JV team improves to 8-0 on the season.  

Next for the young Jags will be back-to-back nights at home versus South Hamilton on Monday 1/13 and then Webster City on Tuesday 1/14 to wrap up a five game homestand.
