The Southeast Valley Boys' JV basketball team used a solid 1st half on their home floor to help lead to a 47-31 victory over the Emmetsburg E-Hawks on Friday, December 9th. The Jaguars jumped out to an early 16-10 lead in the opening quarter, and led 35-13 at the halftime break.  The Jaguars only allowed three points scored in the second quarter. Relatively speaking, the E-Hawks and Jaguars matched each other in the third quarter. Both teams scored 10 points in the 3rd before SV closed out the game with a 12-8 run in the 4th quarter.  

Hane Sorenson paced the Jaguars in the scoring column with 12 points and 2 steals. Brady Hanson chipped in with 9 points and was a force on the defensive end, coming up with 5 steals and multiple deflections. Ross Larson added 8 points and 1 steal. Lincoln Akins and Jace Hanson each scored 5 points, with J. Hanson also leading the way in rebounding with 8 boards (4 offensive rebounds). Brad Pliner scored 4 points and collected 2 rebounds. The duo of Tyler Moreland and Preston Kennedy rounded out the Jaguar scoring with 2 points apiece. Kennedy also tallied 2 steals in the contest.
