JV Boys Win 46-24, Overcome Cold Night Shooting
Despite a cold night shooting from the field, the JV Boys defeated the West Bend-Mallard Wolverines 46-24 at home on Friday, December 1st.
Leading the team in scoring was Tyler Jondle with 10 points and 4 assists. Ian Brunner chipped in with 8 points, 2 steals, and 2 blocked shots. Spencer Peterson (4 steals), Bryce Harrison, Lincoln Akins, and Ethan Tucker all scored 5 points apiece. Nick Field and Cornell Lowery both scored 3 points in the game. Rounding out the Jaguar scoring was Karson Roper with 2 points and 3 steals.
As a team, the Jaguars shot 32% from the floor, and 13% percent from 3pt. land on the second of back-to-back nights on the hardwood. The night before, the Jaguars played in an up-tempo, tightly contested match-up on the road; facing Kuemper Catholic in Carroll, falling by the score of 47-52. Tired and/or heavy legs in back-to-back nights, especially early on in the season, could have contributed to the Jaguars cold offensive percentages. Defensively, the JV squad earned 18 steals in the win.
End of Quarter Scores: SV led 11-0, 23-4, 41-11, 46-24.
