The Southeast Valley JVR Boys basketball team claimed their first win of the season Friday, December 3rd on their home court in Gowrie defeating West-Bend Mallard 36-23.

Ethan Ackerson, Tyler Jondle, and Gauge Jones led the Jaguar offensive charge with 7 apiece. Kagan Vangilder connected on two baskets for the Jags to finish the contest with 4 points. Cole Lundgren added 4 points and recorded two blocks. Bryson Axness hit a shot from behind the arch to collect 3 points for the Jaguars. Brad Pliner and Oscar Hanson contributed 2 points each. Pliner and Lundgren dominated in the paint, securing 7 rebounds apiece. Ackerson worked in the paint also, resulting in 5 rebounds. Pliner and Jones hustled on the defensive end also, snatching four steals apiece. Jondle fed the Jaguar offense, dishing out five assists. Aiding the offensive effort, Jones and Pliner each recorded two assists. 

It was a good win for the young Jaguar squad. Every player contributed and that resulted in a great team victory. The Jaguars travel to Saint Edmonds Tuesday, December 7th and then to Emmetsburg Friday, December 10th.
