JVR Boys the Week of January 10th

SV JVR Boy Travel to Roland-Story 

Monday, January 10th, the Southeast Valley JVR boys basketball team traveled to Story City. The Jaguars dropped the contest 31-52.

Cale VanSickle brought the hustle to lead the Jaguar offense with 9 points. Landon Dorsey contributed a solid 8 points for the Jags. Tyler Jondle scored 6 points and Ethan Ackerson collected 5 points to aid the Jaguar effort. Gauge Jones chipped in 2 points  and Drake Warland added 1 point for the Jags.


JVR Boys Edged by Webster City

Tuesday, January 11th, the Southeast Valley JVR boys basketball team traveled to Webster City. The Jaguars put up a good fight, but fell short against the Lynx, 40-45. Cold shooting plagued the young Jaguars in the first quarter. The Jags entered half-time trailing 14-24. In the second half the Jaguars never let up, outscoring the Lynx 12-11 in the third quarter. The Jags continued to bring the hustle in the fourth quarter, producing fifteen points while keeping Webster City to only ten points. 

Landon Dorsey led the Jags offense with 10 points. Ethan Ackerson and Hane Sorenson sparked the Jaguar offense, scoring 7 points apiece. Cale VanSickle contributed 6 points for the Jags. Bryson Axness and Gauge Jones each connected from behind the arch to finish with 3 points each. Brad Pliner and Tyler Jondle each sank a bucket to finish with 2 points apiece.
