The SV Boys' JV team traveled the short trip North to Fort Dodge on Tuesday, December 7th to play the St. Edmond Gaels in a contest on the hardwood. The Jaguars fell by the score of 62-45.  

Poor shooting from the field and defensive lapses, especially in both the 2nd and 4th quarters, hindered the Jaguars from closing the difference in the scoring margin. The Jaguars were cold from the floor, shooting just 30% from the field and 17% from behind the 3-pt arc. The Jags jumped out to an early 12-9 lead before allowing 32 points in the 2nd quarter. At the intermission break, the Jags trailed 24-41. Late in the 3rd quarter (a quarter which the Jaguars won 11-6), the JV team was able to get the score back to a 10-point deficit, but were just out-hustled in the end.  

The Jaguars were led in scoring by Carter Ferry with 10 points and Hane Sorenson with 8 points scored. Nate Scott totalled 5 points and 4 reabounds. Ross Larson, Tyler Moreland, Jace Hanson, and Gavin Weier all chipped in with 4 points each. Rounding out the scoring efforts were Dalton Crouse, Andrew Miller, and Brady Hanson with 2 points apiece. Also participating in the game was Ethan Ackerson (2 rebounds), Drake Warland, and Tyler Paterson.
