SV JH Softball-Week of June 10
June 10th
Team Black
11-7 (beat SCC)
The Black Team put together a strong offensive performance, with several players recording multiple hits and reaching base consistently throughout the game.
At the top of the lineup, Taylor Carlson and Kiley Norine each reached safely multiple times and helped set the tone offensively. Sofie Fritts and Paisley Bintz also turned in productive days at the plate, each collecting multiple hits and creating scoring opportunities for the Black Team. The balanced attack allowed the Black Team to keep pressure on the defense all game long, with contributions coming from nearly every spot in the lineup. Their ability to string together hits and capitalize on opportunities was a key factor in the team’s success.
Team Teal
10-1 (beat SCC)
The team received contributions throughout the lineup as several players reached base and drove in runs during a strong offensive showing.
At the top of the order, Aubrey Richardson got things started with a hit and scored, while Payton Smith turned in one of the day’s best performances, collecting multiple hits and driving in runs. Kaylee Hicks continued the offensive pressure with a pair of productive at-bats, helping move runners and contribute to the scoring effort.
In the middle of the lineup, Reagan Cramer and Taylor Carlson each recorded hits and crossed the plate, while Tana Harrison delivered a key RBI hit. Nalayna Knuths added to the attack with a timely hit that helped keep an inning alive.
Overall, the team showed great depth at the plate, recording hits throughout the lineup and consistently putting runners in scoring position. The balanced offensive attack and aggressive baserunning helped fuel a successful day on the field.
June 12th
Team Black
(Beat Manson 7-6)
Southeast Valley JH jumped out to an early lead and held on for a 7-6 win over MNW on Friday.
The Jaguars scored three runs in the first inning and added three more in the second to take control. An RBI groundout by Avery Akins in the third extended the lead to 7-3, which proved to be enough as MNW rallied late.
Brynley Bachel earned the win in the circle and also led Southeast Valley at the plate, going 2-for-2. Akins drove in a run, while the Jaguars showed patience at the plate with five walks and turned a double play on defense.
With the win, Southeast Valley improved after a strong team effort on both sides of the ball.
Team Teal
(Beat Manson 12-1)
Southeast Valley JH put together a dominant performance on Friday, defeating MNW 12-1.
The Jaguars scored three runs in the first inning and continued to build their lead with three more in the second and three in the third. Key hits from Reagan Cramer, Taylor Carlson, and Tana Harrison helped fuel the offense.
Cramer earned the win in the circle, allowing just two hits and one run while striking out nine over four innings.
Offensively, Aubree Richardson drove in two runs, while Kaylee Hicks led the team at the plate, going 2-for-2. Southeast Valley also showed patience at the plate with nine walks and played error-free defense behind the strong pitching effort.
The Jaguars combined timely hitting, disciplined at-bats, and solid defense in the convincing victory.
