JH Football Undefeated Seasons Finish Up Against Cowboys

Jags Stay undefeated over the Cowboys 42-0

BURNSIDE — The Southeast Valley 7th-grade football team kept its spotless record intact on October 13th, delivering a dominant 42-0 shutout victory over the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowboys. Playing on their home field in Burnside, the Jaguars put on a masterclass in all three phases of the game. The decisive win moves Southeast Valley to a perfect 6-0 on the season, cementing their standing as an unstoppable force this year.

Weston Muench sparked the Jaguars with a monster performance on both sides of the ball. Offensively, Muench gashed the Cowboys' defense for three rushing touchdowns and added a pair of two-point conversions to keep the scoreboard rolling. He was equally relentless on defense and special teams, snagging a fumble recovery and crashing through the line to block a Cowboy punt, setting Southeast Valley up in prime field position throughout the night.

The rest of the Jaguars' offense fired on all cylinders to round out the scoring blowout. Quarterback Bryce Johnson showcased his dual-threat abilities, connecting with Noah Danielson for a passing touchdown before calling his own number to rush for another score. Running back Mason Messerly joined the scoring parade with a touchdown run of his own. The Jaguar defense was equally suffocating, securing a complete shutout capped by interceptions from both Messerly and Kroy Breon to stifle any hopes of a Cowboy comeback.
