East Sac County Beats Southeast Valley
East Sac County earned a decisive home victory over the Southeast Valley Jaguars on Monday, January 5th, pulling away early and cruising to a 75–11 win.
The Raiders set the tone from the opening tip, building a commanding 35–1 lead by the end of the first quarter. East Sac County continued to pressure defensively and push the tempo in the second quarter, extending the advantage to 54–6 at halftime.
Southeast Valley worked to settle into the game after the break, but East Sac County’s depth and ball movement remained difficult to slow. The Raiders led 70–9 heading into the fourth quarter and closed out the contest with steady play on both ends of the floor.
Camryn Lane led Southeast Valley offensively, finishing with nine points. Despite the final score, the Jaguars continued to compete and gain valuable varsity experience against a strong East Sac County squad.
East Sac County improved with the win, while Southeast Valley looks ahead to its next opportunity as the season continues.
Alta-Aurelia Pulls Away from Southeast Valley
Alta-Aurelia used a strong first half and consistent offensive pressure to defeat the Southeast Valley Jaguars 84–36 on Friday, January 9th.
The Warriors jumped out to an early lead, taking a 21–9 advantage after the first quarter before extending the margin to 48–16 at halftime. Alta-Aurelia continued to control the pace in the third quarter, pushing the lead to 63–25 heading into the final period and finishing strong down the stretch.
Southeast Valley was led by Sage Lane, who scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds. Camryn Lane added 10 points and five steals, while Delaney Sittig contributed five points, five rebounds, and four steals. Mekenah Osbourne finished with four points, Addy Lundquist scored two, and Karley Rae Smith added one point.
From the floor, the Jaguars made 10 two-point baskets and knocked down two three-pointers. Southeast Valley went 10-of-28 from the free throw line and was whistled for 21 fouls in the contest.
Alta-Aurelia’s offense was efficient throughout the game, converting 22 two-point field goals and eight three-pointers. The Warriors finished 16-of-31 from the free throw line and committed 23 fouls.
Despite the final score, Southeast Valley continued to battle and gained valuable experience against a deep and balanced Alta-Aurelia squad.
