On Thursday Night, the Jaguar Wrestling Team hosted the Warriors of Alta-Aurelia, the Wolverines of West Bend-Mallard and Raiders of East Sac County for the concluding duals of the 2025-26 regular season and Southeast Valley Senior Night.

The Southeast Valley Coaching Staff: Coach Miller, Coach Winklebauer, Coach Balk, Coach Hefley and Coach Slinker would like to recognize and THANK our Senior: Colin Johnson, for his four years of dedication and hard work as a member of the Southeast Valley Wrestling Program. We deeply appreciate your involvement and commitment to this program.

As the wrestling unfolded on Thursday night, the Jaguars were able to pick up two more dual wins at home, defeating East Sac County in the opening round of competition and ending the night with a win over West Bend-Mallard. This season was a great demonstration in overall team growth and that growth now needs to accelerate in the practice room as we look towards the postseason with the District Wrestling Tournament around the corner two weeks from Saturday. We saw some great individual performances from the Jaguars; including 3-0 nights from Wyatt Blair and Colton Haug as well as 2-1 nights from Josiah Hefley, Keelan Wellman, Chris Andrews, Colin Johnson and Kyle Eastman. We are continuing to improve as a team but there is still a lot of growth that needs to occur in the practice room for the young men to be in an optimal position to do their best when we get to Webster City for Districts. Overall, they did a great job and have a lot to be proud of, however, we need to continue to strive for improvement and growth over these next two weeks.

To Megan Davis, thank you for dealing with all of our athletes and their various, continuous problems and needs. I apologize if there is anyone that I miss as it takes a lot to make a season possible.
