120 lbs sophomore Wyatt Blair’s State Tournament run ended Thursday night in a tough loss to K. Schroeder of Atlantic 7-6 in the consolation round. The 120 lbs bracket featured fourteen state qualifiers, including two State champs, a runner up and several placewinners, a definite challenge for Wyatt. Blair opened the first round with a tough overtime loss 15-12 to Stratton Luke of Union, Laporte City. Blair was disappointed he didn’t advance farther in the bracket but reflecting on his season he made strides to finish on the awards stands next year on Saturday night. Blair finishes the season 46-8.
