Nine wrestlers ventured to Ida Grove to participate in the tough two day 27 team tournament which featured many ranked wrestlers from around Iowa. One Jag wrestler, freshman Wyatt Blair ended the day on Saturday with a tough, hard fought fourth place finish. Blair's bracket featured the #1 and #2 ranked wrestlers in 1A and the #3 ranked wrestler in 2A at 113 lbs. Blair, seeded #6 opened with a tech fall against his West Lyon opponent, putting him in the quarterfinals with #2 ranked Hendrix Schwab of traditional powerhouse Gilbertville, Don Bosco. A tough snapdown to a cow catcher caught Blair on his back late in the first period losing the match by fall. In the backside of the bracket, Blair pinned his Sargeant Bluff-Luton opponent placing him in the medal round where he pinned his Okoboji opponent in the third period placing him in the consolation semi-finals against #4 seed Brodie Starcher of Tonganoxie, a strong team from Kansas. In a tough battle, Blair secured the fall in the third period placing him in the third place match against third ranked Bryce Oostenick of Sioux Center. After giving up an early takedown, Blair battled hard getting in on several leg attacks but couldn't quite finish the three point takedown to tie the score. 

   Fellow freshman 120 lbs. Keelan Wellman also wrestled a strong tournament falling short by one match of placing going 3-2 for the tournament. Allan Summers, Colin Johnson, Colton Haug, Oliver Riehl, Brodey Laughman, Kyle Eastman, and Cooper Spece received tough draws and did not place.
