Jaguar Girls' Basketball Update
On Tuesday, January 6th, the Southeast Valley Junior High girls basketball team hosted the Indians from Pocahontas Area. The 7th grade got the night started with a very physical 24-8 loss. The Jags were led in scoring by Taylor Carlson’s 5 points. Reagan Cramer added 3 points for the Jags. In the nightcap, the 8th grade Jags also played a very physical tough game. The Jags played hard but came out on the short end by the score of 39-17. The Jags were led in scoring by Tana Harrison’s 12 points. Aubree Richardson contributed 3 points and Kelsey Hayes chipped in with 2 points for the Jaguars cause.
Coach McCloud is quoted as saying, “ Our girls played very hard tonight. Pocahontas has a ton of height and it was a struggle for us all night. We will need to refocus this week and finish our season strong.” The Jags will next be in action as they travel to East Sac on Friday. Keep working hard Jags!!
