JH Girls @ Madrid
On Tuesday, November 25th, the Southeast Valley Junior High girls basketball team traveled to Madrid for a double header. The 8th graders got the night started with a very hard fought game, but fell short by the score of 41-19. The Jags were led in scoring by Tana Harrison’s 13 points. Grace Kauffman, Aubree Richardson and Kaylee Hicks all contributed 2 points to the Jaguar cause. In the 2nd game, the 7th graders also showed toughness and grit, but once again they came out on the short side. The Jags fell 36-14 to the Tigers. Reagan Cramer and Taylor Carlson led the Jags in points with 6 each, while Avery Kitchen chipped in 2 points for the Jags.
Coach McCloud is quoted as saying, “We play hard and we hustle. We ran into a buzzsaw tonight against Madrid. They came out right away and we had to play catch up all night. We did see glimpses of some really good things. It is still young in our season and we will continue to improve as the season progresses. I am proud of the effort we are showing.”
The Jags will next be in action on Monday, December 1st, as the Jags will travel to Newell-Fonda for a game against the Mustangs. Keep working hard Jags!!!
