The JH Baseball program for Southeast Valley travelled to Fonda on Thursday, June 18th to take on the Newell-Fonda Mustangs. The games began at noon on a beautiful mid-June summer day.

In the first contest of the afternoon, the 7th graders ended all knotted up 1-1 at the conclusion of the game. Cam Johnson pitched an excellent game on the mound, giving up no earned runs in the game. The Jaguars had their opportunities with 7 total Jaguar runners left on base. Braxton Pierce made three separate plays out in right field. The infield for the Jaguars also made great plays keeping the runs limited with two double plays and skilled footwork and execution on defense.

In the 8th grade game, the Jaguars won 9-1 behind Tristan Hanson's complete work on the mound. Jaxon VanCannon was the other half of the battery. Jax Hindt continued to swing the bat, coming up with a nice hard hit ball out to left and 2 RBIs. Grant Ott also had a nice hard hit ball to left field shortly after. Boe Davis, Bennet Nolte, and T. Hanson all scored at least twice in the win.

The Jaguars will host MNW on Monday, June 22, followed by an away game vs East Sac County on Thursday, June 25 and back home on Friday, June 26 to close out the week vs SCC.
