SV JH Baseball at Ogden

The 8th Grade baseball team experienced their first loss of the season, falling by the score of 6-7 on the road against the Ogden Bulldogs. The Jaguars led 6-2 going into the bottom of the last inning. The Jaguars allowed 9 walks and 5 errors in the ball game, allowing Ogden a chance in the end.
Josiah Hefley was 2-2 from the plate, scoring twice in the game. Ethan Martin also added a hit and scored twice. August Akins and Tristan Hanson also scored one run a piece. Colton Bachel earned two RBI's. Hefley, Martin, and Boe Davis all recorded an RBI for their efforts.
In the second ball game of the day, the 7th grade earned a 17-1 victory. Bennett Nolte pitched a wonderful game, facing only 11 Bulldog batters and striking out four. Boe Davis closed out the final inning, facing the minimum three batters and striking out two.
Nolte went 2-2 from the plate, scoring three times and earned a double and a single as the lead-off man, while also tallying 3 RBI. Boe Davis also scored three runs and came up with a single in the third inning. Griffin Vote went 2-3 in the line-up, scoring 2 runs and had one RBI. Jax Hindt added a nice double in the third inning, while also scoring three runs total in the win. Jaxon Van Cannon was 1-2 as a batter, and scored twice. Tristan Hanson, Wyatt Muench, Nolan Albright, and Jaxson Johnson all scored one run a piece. Grant Ott added an RBI.
