JH Baseball vs Ogden
Dayton--
The Southeast Valley 7th and 8th grade baseball teams picked up two more wins on Monday, June 15, defeating their neighbors to the south, the Ogden Bulldogs, in games played at Dayton.
In the 7th grade contest, the Jaguars earned a 13-4 victory behind a complete-game pitching performance from Hudson Ulicki, who kept the Bulldogs in check throughout the morning. Ulicki also led the offense, scoring all three times he reached base. Tripp Roper, Caden Haug, Jasxon Halsrud, and Braxton Pierce each crossed the plate twice for Southeast Valley.
The win marked a strong turnaround from the team's first meeting on June 3, when the Jaguars fell to Ogden by a score of 12-5.
In the 8th grade game, Southeast Valley secured a 9-1 victory. Wyatt Muench pitched three strong innings before Jax Hindt closed out the game on the mound.
The Jaguars wasted little time getting the offense rolling. After a slight adjustment to the batting order, Tristan Hanson and Muench delivered back-to-back triples to begin the bottom of the first inning. With the tone set early, Bennett Nolte soon followed with an RBI to drive in Muench. Nolan Albright collected two hits in two at-bats, while Jaxon VanCannon added a double on a hard-hit ball to deep right-center field.
With the pair of victories, Southeast Valley continued its strong season through the midway point.
