The SV boys golf team edged out a narrow victory over East Sac County on Monday at Spring Lake Golf Course just outside of Wall Lake, winning 184–185 in challenging conditions.

Cold temperatures and strong winds, with gusts reaching up to 30 mph, made for a tough day on the course.

Benson Konecne led the way as meet medalist, shooting a 43 and clinching the top spot after winning a playoff hole against Karson Roper and East Sac's Kason Schroader, all carding a 43. Hayden Greene and Linkin Roper each contributed solid rounds of 49, while Declan McGuire finished with a 51 and Dawson Tuel added a 53.

On the junior varsity side, the SV team posted a combined score of 269. Brodie Lavine led the JV squad with a 66, followed closely by Tavin Goeders with a 67. Blaine Peterson and Landon Richardson each rounded out the scoring with matching 68s.
