Southeast Valley Boys’ Golf Team Tops WBM in Chilly, Rainy Meet

The Southeast Valley boys’ golf team battled through tough spring conditions to earn a solid victory over West Bend-Mallard, finishing with a team score of 168 compared to WBM’s 179. With temperatures sitting in the low-to-mid 40s and a steady cold rain throughout the meet, golfers had to rely on focus and resilience to navigate the course.
Leading the way for Southeast Valley was Karson Roper, who delivered an outstanding performance with a par 35 to earn meet medalist honors. His strong play set the tone for the team despite the challenging weather.
Benson Konecne followed with a 43, while both Declan McGuire and Dawson Tuel carded rounds of 45. Hayden Greene added a 46, and Linkin Roper rounded out the scoring with a 48.
At the JV level, Colton Haug led the way with a 47 and Blaine Peterson carded a 66.
Overall, it was a gritty performance by Southeast Valley, proving their ability to compete even when the weather doesn’t cooperate.
