Boys Golf vs St. Edmond

Boys Golf Results: 4/15/25

St. Edmond and Southeast Valley met for a dual contest in Gowrie on Tuesday, April 15. The weather was chilly, but the wind settled down some towards the later half of the meet. In a closely contested match-up, St. Edmond won the dual by a difference of just two strokes. St. Eds came in with a 174, Southeast Valley with a 176.

Karson Roper shot the low for the Varsity team, posting a 42 score. Brady Hanson shot 43 and Will Comp shot 44 on the night. The trio of Dawson Tuel, Linkin Roper, and Drew Temple all carded 47 to round out the Varsity line-up.

Karson Roper and three St. Edmond golfers in Ty Mericle, Jack McElroy, and Carson Bargfrede, all shot 42 on the night (and on Jackie Robinson Day, interestingly), having a 4-man playoff decided by a card back on handicap holes. After a two-hole card back, Mericle won meet medalist honors; and K. Roper earned the runner-up position.

The JV squad for Southeast Valley won their match, defeating the St. Edmond’s JV squad 194-225. Colton Haug shot a 47, matching Temple, L. Roper, and Tuel. Benson Konecne, Hayden Greene, and Hayden Butrick all came in with 49. Declan McGuire shot 53 and Nick Field a 60. Hunter Horn led St. Eds JV with a 54.
