Dayton Invite 2026: Karson Roper Earns Back-to-Back Meet Medalist
For the 2nd year in a row, Southeast Valley's Karson Roper earned meet medalist honors in SV's Dayton Invite. Roper shot a stellar 39 round (same as last year) and tied with Ogden's Deacon and Hunter Mitchels. Roper won the one hole playoff earning par on the par 3-155 yard hole 6. Hunter M. earned 2nd place, and Deacon M. was awarded 3rd.
SV's Dawson Tuel shot a solid 40 round and earned a 4th place medal. In 5th place, six combined individuals tied with a 43 and competed in a one hole playoff to determine 5th place. On the par 3-125 yard hole 5, Greene County's Carter Hinote sunk a 8 foot birdie putt to claim the 5th place medal.
Also scoring for SV were Benson Konecne with a 46 and Declan McGuire with a 47. McGuire nearly made an unbelievable albatross on Dayton's hole 1, striking the pin on his second shot and settled for an easy eagle on the 501 yard-par 5.
Linkin Roper and Hayden Greene each shot 48. The weather was great, with calm winds and comfortable temperatures.
The Ogden Bulldogs won the meet with a solid 166 team score for Dayton. Greene County and Southeast Valley tied with a 172, with Greene County winning the tiebreaker (determined by each team's 5th scorer). Manson Northwest Webster came in 4th with a 199 score, and Glidden-Raltson shot 204.
