The SV Jaguars earned a victory over Alta-Aurelia on Thursday, May 7, defeating the Warriors 162-170 in near-perfect playing conditions at Aurelia Golf Course. South Central Calhoun also topped Alta-Aurelia, posting a 163 team score.

SV was led by meet medalist Karson Roper, who fired an impressive 2-over-par 37. SCC’s Noah Hendricks claimed runner-up honors with a great 38 round. Declan McGuire added a solid 41 for the Jaguars, while Linkin Roper and Hayden Greene each carded rounds of 42. Sophomores Dawson Tuel and Benson Konecne both finished with 44s. 

The Jaguars are now 7-4 in Twin Lakes Conference regular season matchups. The Jaguars will enter the postseason at River Bend Golf Course in Story City on Wednesday, May 13th.  

In junior varsity action, Alta-Aurelia edged SV by a 179-203 margin. Ashtyn Owens paced the Jaguars with a 49, followed by Colton Haug with a 50. Tavin Goeders and Blaine Peterson each recorded rounds of 52, while Landon Richardson finished with a 62. The JV group wrapped up their spring season with a 3-7 record.
