Southeast Valley traveled to Pocahontas on Thursday, April 16 for a dual meet against Pocahontas Area, coming away with a 169–174 victory.

Karson Welander of Pocahontas Area earned meet medalist honors with a round of 39, while Declan McGuire led SV with a runner-up finish, carding a 41. Karson Roper and Dawson Tuel each added rounds of 42, and Benson Konecne followed with a 44. Linkin Roper posted a 46, while Colton Haug rounded out the varsity scoring with a 54.

The meet was played in excellent conditions, with pleasant weather throughout the day before wind gusts picked up later in the round, adding an extra challenge for golfers down the stretch. The match came down to the final scores, as the teams were tied at 174 before McGuire’s runner-up finish secured the victory for the Jaguars.

At the junior varsity level, SV recorded a team score of 208. Hayden Greene led the way with a 46, followed by Blaine Peterson with a 51. Landon Richardson added a 55, while Ashtyn Owens shot a 56 and Brodie Lavine finished with a 58.
