Golf Recap – Greene County Ram Invitational (Wednesday, April 29)

The SV Jaguars varsity squad competed in the Greene County Ram Invitational on Wednesday, taking on a unique 18-hole format split between two courses—one round in Jefferson and the other at The Hill near Grand Junction.

Ten schools competed in this year’s event, with Greene County claiming the team title with an impressive 308. SCC finished as the runner-up, while SV placed 7th with a team score of 343. The standings were tightly packed, with just a 10-stroke difference between 4th and 7th place.

Karson Roper led the Jaguars with a round of 80, and shooting a 40 on each 9 hole course. Dawson Tuel followed with an 87, while Benson Konecne and Linkin Roper each carded 88s. Declan McGuire added a 90, and Hayden Greene finished with a 93.

With great weather and a competitive field, the invitational provided a strong test across two courses for all teams involved.
