Jags Knock Off East Sac County
Lake View, IA ~ History was made for the Southeast Valley volleyball program after the Jaguars defeated the Raiders in four games to win a Twin Lakes Conference match. The Jaguars opened the night losing the first game by the score of 19-25. In the next three matches with tough serving and digging up the ball, the girls defeated the Raiders by the scores of 25-22, 25-23, and 25-21.
Offensively, Madelyn Farley led the team with 14 kills. LIzzie Thompson had 10, Riley Carlson had eight, Liberty Suchan with six and Rian Schlief had four. The team served at 89% efficiency, however, they had 13 ace serves which was key during the night. Lizzie Thompson and Riley Carlson were perfect behind the serving line. Rian Schlief had 14 assists while Camryn Lane had 13.
Another key factor with the match was the team had 54 digs with Madelyn Farley leading the way with 11. She was followed by Rian Schlief with ten, Annabelle MacRunnel with nine and Anna Corell who had eight.
The junior varsity team lost to East Sac by the scores of 16-21, 21-17, 4-15. The team served at 92% with Trinity Anderson, Liberty Suchan, and Addi Larson perfect behind the serving line. Kayla Field went 18 for 19 with serves and had five aces. Kalli Thompson had two ace serves while Liberty Suchan had one. Thompson and Anderson each had two kills while Liberty Suchan, Mae Searcy, Addi Larson, and Avrie Hanson each had one.
The JVR lost to the Raiders by the scores of 21-19, 13-21, and 9-15. Leading the team with ace serves was Sage Lane with 4, followed by Shayden Hefley and Peyton Lockner with 2 ace serves each. Leah Mills had 1 ace serve. Reagan Pearson and Leah Mills were 100 percent from the serving line.
