Lake View,IA ~ The Jaguars JVR volleyball squad traveled to Lake View on Monday, September 15th and competed in a quadrangular with teams from East Sac County, Emmetsburg and Newell-Fonda.

The girls opened the night defeating the Raiders of East Sac County by the scores of 25-16 and 25-11. Bella Smith had seven kills while Shayden Hefley, and Jacey Carlson each had four. Tenley Kastendieck, Jaylon Zika, Bella Dorsey, Farrah Tuel, and Charlotte Blair also contributed kills. Peyton Lockner, Blair, Hefley, Zika also had ace serves.  

In the second match the team defeated the E-Hawks by the scores of 26-24 and 25-12. The girls were down 7-12 in the first set but came back to win. The team served very well with Charlotte Blair, Shayden Hefley, Bella Smith, Farrah Tuel, and Addi Lundquist perfect behind the serving line. The team had 13 kills for the match.

The team finished the night splitting with Newell Fonda by the scores of 17-25 and 26-24. In the second match the girls were down 14-17 but slowly turned things around by getting their serves in and passing the ball. They were very scrappy in digging up the ball in the second game. Jaylon Zika had two solo blocks.

The JVR team consist of Brylee Alliger, Charlotte Blair, Jacey Carlson, Bella Dorsey, Shayden Hefley, Tenley Kastendieck, Peyton Lockner, Alyssa Luhmann, Addison Lundquist,Madelyn Miller, Bella Smith, Farrah Tuel, Molly VanSickle, Emily Wilson, and Jaylon Zika.  The girls improved to 8-3-1 overall.
