Jags Lose Two in Week Four

Gowrie, IA ~ The Jaguars experienced their first two conference losses this past week to Emmetsburg and Manson NW Webster. The girls opened the night facing #13 Emmetsburg (Class 2A) by the scores of 21-25, 9-25, and 23-25. The team served at 95.9% for the night and averaged 1.3 ace serves per game. Camryn Lane averaged 4.7 assists per game while Madelyn Farley averaged 3.8 kills/game. Rian Schlief averaged 2.7 digs per game while the team averaged 10 digs per set. Comparing things with E-Hawks of Emmetsburg, they averaged 13.7 kills per game compared to Jaguars 8.3 kills/game.  


In the second match of the night the girls struggled with serving which hurt their momentum during the competition. The team only served at 84.2%. The team averaged 8.7 kills per set. Camryn Lane had 4.3 assists per game while Madelyn Farley led with kills at 4.3 kills/set. Rian Schlief had 2.7 digs per game and Riley Carlson averaged 1.0 block per game.  


The team is 8-3 overall and 3-2 in conference play. They face St. Mary’s of Storm Lake next Tuesday on September 23rd at Storm Lake.
