Jag Football Exits Playoffs
The Southeast Valley finished their season with a 38-14 Loss over the number 1 ranked team in the state Central Lyon. The Jaguars finished with a 5-4 record and were able to make it back into the 2026 playoffs after missing them the last couple years. So that was big for this group of seniors to at least advance a round and get a banner to hang on the wall. This was a very very good 5-4 team this season but the competition they faced could not be any harder than what the Jags faced this season. It all started by facing now 8-1 Kuemper, the defending state champions who were ranked #1. Then they played 7-2 Ranked #4 Spirit Lake followed by playing the 6th ranked team OABCIG who are 8-1. Then by making the playoffs they sent us to the new #1 ranked team Central Lyon who are 9-0. It does not get tougher than that. So the boys still had a successful season even though the final result was not what we all wanted.
This group of seniors will be missed. This has been a very dedicated group and a great bunch of boys to work with over the last 4 years. Many of them have been starting for 2 or 3 years and some of them 4 so we have a lot of shoes to fill next season. Wish them the very best of luck
