Jag Football Wins Homecoming Football Game

The Jaguar football wins their homecoming game 35-7 over ELC and moves to 4-0 for the season.

The Jaguar team started District Football play after starting off 3-0 against non-district opponents and what a way to get it started by scoring 21 points in the first quarter to get things rolling for the night.

Spencer Peterson started the night with a Touchback on his kickoff and the defense forced a punt after 3 plays and gave great field position to start their first series. Casey Hanson ran the ball 4 straight times 24 yards then hit Bryce Harrison for a 13 yard TD. Spencer Peterson made the PAT.

Jags force 3 and out.

Mason Bahr started the next series at QB with 3 carries and then hit Logan Jaeschke for 26 yards. Casey Hanson came back in and hit Bryce Harrison again for a 8 yard TD. SPencer Peterson made the PAT and just like that it was 14-0

ELC on the first play fumbles and Bryce Harrison recovered.

On the very next play Casey Hanson hit Bryce Harrison on a 29 yard reception for his 3rd TD of the quarter. SPencer Peterson made the PAT. 21-0 Jags

ELC put a 12 play drive together but had a fumble and their own guy picked it up and ran for 29 yards to help set up their 1 and only score. 21-7

Jags wasted no time and on play 3 Casey Hanson hit Logan Jaescke for a 64 yard TD. Spencer Peterson made the PAT and Jags led 28-7

The Jags defense forced a fumble with Clay Lambert recovering and Bryce Harrison had an INT all before half.

Jags came out in the second half running the ball and Casey Hanson had a quick 20 yards. Then Casey Hanson hit Logan Jaeschke for a 49 yard TD. This was Casey Hansons 5th TD pass and Logan 2nd TD of the game.

That was the end of the scoring. Both offenses could not find the endzone but the Jags defense still forced an INT by Jake Paterson, INT by Keelan Wellman and a fumble recovery by Korbin spangler. SO the JAG defense had 3 INT's and 3 Fumble recoveries and only gave up 41 yards rushing on 30 attempts. The Jags defense has had 4 very good football games and it is everyone who plays defense and steps on the field.

The Jags defense has only given up a total of 3 TD's in 4 games. This is huge. Every week Coach Graves has a new game plan and the kids have done a great job running it.

The Jags offense was again outstanding with great blocking from the line which is giving us time to get it to our playmakers. During this 4 game stretch the Jags are averaging 35 points a game.

The Jag will need this offense and Defense next week as they take on ranked #1 Kuemper and defending State Champs.

Jags offense 199 rushing and 235 passing

Casey Hanson 16 rushes for 127 yards and 13 for 16 passing for 5 TD's which tied a school record for 5 TD's in a game

Mason Bahr had 44 yards rushing and 26 yards passing

Wyatt Muench had 2 carries for 37 yards

Logan Jaeschke had 8 catches for 157 yards and 2 TD's

Bryce Harrsion had 4 catches for 64 yards and 3 TD's which also tied a school record. He also finished the night with an INT and a fumble recovery.
