The Jaguar football team wins their District opener against ELC 40-13 and moves to 3-1 for the season.
This was a great way to start District play and the Jaguars struggled the last 2 weeks to get things going but they wasted no time getting things going as on play 2 Mason Bahr hit Logan Jaeschke for a 61 yard TD to take a 6-0 lead.
Jaguars defense forces a 3 and out.

It would have been real easy to take a knee and head into half but the Jags were aggressive and had Casey Hanson run a quick counter for 25 yards and then ELC got a 15 yard penalty and then as time expired on the clock Mason Bahr hit Colin Johnson for a 28 yard TD and Spencer Peterson made the PAT and this was huge going into half up 27-6

ELC tried fighting back but Byrce Harrison had an INT to get the ball back to the offense but the Jags could not get the first down they wanted and had to punt for the first time of the game.
The defense stuffed them again with great play from the D-Line with Josh Martens, Joe Kauffman, Korbin Spangler and Middle Linebacker play from Deegan Brandel and Drew Temple stuffing the middle and Ian Brunner and Nick Field stuffing the outside runs.
The Jags put on their last drive together and Mason Bahr scored on a 11 yard run.
This was a great win for the boys.
Next Week the boys take on Number 1 ranked Caroll Kuemper who has won back to back District Championships. The boys will have their hands full but they need to believe they can beat them and they can if they play like they do in some of these games the last few weeks.
