SV Football Wins Homecoming Game

The Southeast Valley football team wins Homecoming 54-6 over South Hamilton.

Homecoming is always a week as coaches you get nervous how the boys are going to play and the first 2 series for sure had us worried and the boys were not ready to play

The Jags offense came out and had a 3 and out and had to punt.

South Hamilton took their opening drive 10 plays and scored and took an early lead 6-0 and had everyone on their toes and woke the boys up.

That was the last threat of the game as the boys completely dominated the rest of the game.

Jags offense wasted no time as Casey Hanson had 3 runs of 9, 3 and a 43 yard TD with great blocking from the line which includes Hayden Greene, Joe Kauffman, Nick Field, Korbin Spangler, Clay Lambert and HB Ian Brunner to tie it up 6 -6

Jags defense gives up a couple 1st downs but have a great stand on 4th down.

Jags had 1 play with the wind and took advantage of it with Mason Bahr hitting Logan Jaescke for a 64 yard TD and Spencer Peterson hit the PAT and the JAgs lead 13-6

SH ran a few plays and went for it on 4th down again and once again the Jags defense stuffs them and gets the ball back right away.

It took the Jags 3 plays this time before the score. The Jags had a snap on the ground and Mason Bahr took his time and picked it up and threw a 40 TD pass to Bryce Harrison and Spencer Peterson made the PAT and Jags were ahead 20-6

Jags stop SH for the third time in a row on 4th down.

This time it took the Jags 2 plays to score as Casey Hanson has a 93 yard run for the TD and Spencer Peterson made the PAT and the Jags were winning 27-6

Jags force their 1st of 5 fumbles on the night and 2 plays later Mason Bahr hit Alex Burger for a 21 yard TD and Spencer Peterson hit the PAT

Jags force a fumble

Jags offense went right back to the ground with Casey Hanson running a quick 17 yarder then a 32 yard TD and Spencer Peterson hits the PAT. JAgs 34-6

Jags force a fumble

5 plays later on 4th and long Mason Bahr hit Bryce Harrison for a 29 yard TD and Spencer Peterson hit the PAT

SH puts a long 13 play drive together but Jags defense forces the 3rd fumble to get the ball back.

Drew Temple started the drive with a 14 yard run, Logan Jaescke had a 40 yard run and Mason Bahr hit Collin Johnson for a 14 yard TD and the Jag took a 54-6 lead.

Jags put some younger kids in and SH made one last attempt to score on them but the young ones held them out on a 10 play drive.

What a great game all around. Defense forces 5 fumbles and stuffs them numerous times on 4th down. 5 guys scored TD's and a few school records were set. Just a great night for the entire team.
