Jaguars Defeat Mustangs

Burnside- The 8th Grade Boys came out of Thanksgiving Break on fire and were victorious 63-18 over Newell-Fonda. The Jags took control early and led 18-4 at the end of the first quarter. Things stayed in favor of the home team as the Jaguars led 39-7 heading into the halftime break. At half time there wasn’t much to adjust with this group, it was like they didn’t just take five days off. We did talk about keeping our feet when closing out on shooters, and always expect them to press on made baskets or dead ball situations. We wanted to run a few different offensive and defensive sets in the second half of play. The third quarter seemed to fly by as the Jags maintained a 52-14 advantage over the Mustangs. The Jaguars finished the game with a 63-18 home court victory. Scoring for the Jaguars include: Bennett Nolte (16), Griffin Vote (2), Nicholas Vogel (7), Reece Carlson (8), Tristan Hanson (8), Wyatt Muench (12), Grant Ott (2), and Jax Hindt (8). Also contributing for the Jaguars include: Brock Peterson, Avery Waugh, Grant Peterson, Dallas Brandel, Bryson Christian, Nolan Albright, and Corbin Eslick. The Jaguars will be back in action on December 2nd in Ogden against Ogden.
