Southeast Valley 7th Grade Rolls Past South Central Calhoun, 56–19
The Southeast Valley 7th grade boys basketball team closed out the first half of the season unbeaten, cruising to a 56–19 victory over South Central Calhoun on Tuesday night. The Jaguars set the tone early and never let up, heading into winter break with strong momentum.
Defensively, Southeast Valley controlled the game by limiting the Titans’ looks and forcing turnovers that turned into easy baskets. Offensively, the Jaguars showed balance and patience, attacking inside and scoring a majority of their points in the paint.
Nicco Jondle once again led the way with 23 points, while Dawson Greene (6), Rocco Jondle (6), Cam Johnson (11), Tripp Roper (6), Jaxson Halsrud (4), and Braxton Pierce (2) all chipped in the scorebook. Trayson Guthsall, Roman Pace, and Cooper Lane all contributed to the team’s defensive effort and energy.
Coach Steinhoff reflected, “The way we defended and shared the ball made the difference tonight. Heading into break undefeated is a great accomplishment, and the boys deserve credit for the effort they’ve put in.”
