Woodward- The 8th Grade Boys hit the road one last time before break

and came away with a 64-32 victory over Woodward-Granger. The Jags got

off to a quick start and held a 19-8 lead at the end of the first

quarter. The Jags continued to put points on the scoreboard all while

limiting Woodward-Granger’s opportunities and took a 32-15 lead into

the halftime break. We talked about limiting their second chance

opportunities, and stopping them from driving down hill to the basket.

Offensively getting out in transition has been key, but we also need

to be about to run some ball screens when teams figure out what we are

doing. This team makes adjustments very well at half and tonight was

no different and led 47-27 through three quarters of play. The Jags

finished strong and came out with a 64-32 victory on the road. Scoring

for the Jaguars include: Bennett Nolte (12), Griffin Vote (5),

Nicholas Vogel (4), Reece Carlson (7), Tristan Hanson (16), Wyatt

Muench (18), and Grant Ott (2). Also contributing for the Jaguars

include: Brock Peterson, Avery Waugh, Grant Peterson, Dallas Brandel,

Bryson Christian, Nolan Albright, Corbin Eslick, and Jax Hindt. The

Jaguars will be back in action on December 16th in Burnside against

South Central Calhoun.
