Jaguars Defeat Indians

Pocahontas- The 8th Grade Boys came off a long winter break break and

didn’t miss a beat and defeated Pocahontas Area 71-36 in a high

scoring game. The Jags lead 16-9 at the end of the first quarter.

Going into halftime the Jaguars were up 35-18 and playing well on both

ends of the floor. At halftime we talked about identifying their

shooter and letting him get any open looks, securing the glass on the

defensive end, and getting out in transition to score. The Jags and

Indians played a really fast paced third quarter putting up 33 points

between the two teams and the Jags still controlled the game with a

59-27 advantage. At the final buzzer the Jags came away with a 71-36

victory to get things started in the second part of their season.

Scoring for the Jaguars include: Bennett Nolte (5), Griffin Vote (9),

Nicholas Vogel (4), Reece Carlson (7), Tristan Hanson (12), Wyatt

Muench (23), Grant Ott (4), and Jax Hindt (7). Also contributing for

the Jaguars include: Brock Peterson, Avery Waugh, Grant Peterson,

Dallas Brandel, Bryson Christian, Nolan Albright, and Corbin Eslick.

The Jaguars will be back in action on January 9th in Burnside against

East Sac.
