Eagle Grove- The 8th Grade Boys from Southeast Valley opened the season in Eagle Grove with a 54-18 victory over the Eagles. The Jags got off to a quick start and took a commanding 21-4 lead after the first quarter of play. The Jaguars kept up the pressure and went into the halftime break with a 33-12 lead and six different players reaching the scoring column. At halftime we talked about playing our game and expecting them to try something different and being ready to adjust to what they try and throw at us. Just having fun and keep executing on both ends of the floor will be the keys to finishing the game strong. In the third quarter the Jaguars continued to execute on both ends of the floor and were up 52-16 after three quarters of action. The fourth quarter went by pretty quickly with a continuous clock and the Jaguars earned their first victory of the season and are 1-0 on the year. Scoring for the Jaguars include: Bennett Nolte (7), Griffin Vote (6), Reece Carlson (8), Tristan Hanson (12), Wyatt Muench (19), and Jax Hindt (2). Also Contributing for the Jaguars include: Brock Peterson, Avery Waugh, Grant Peterson, Dallas Brandel, Nicholas Vogel, Bryson Christian, Nolan Albright, Corbin Eslick, and Grant Ott. The Jaguars will be back in action on November 24th at Churdan against Paton-Churdan.
