Jaguars Defeat Titans

Rockwell City- The 8th Grade Boys played their final game of the season and earned a 54-32 victory over South Central Calhoun. The Jags got out quick and had a 18-4 lead at the end of the first quarter. Going into the halftime break the Jaguars maintained their advantage 32-12 and played solid on both ends of the floor. We wanted to enjoy the last half of basketball played as 8th graders at Southeast Valley. We wanted to make sure that we communicated who we were guarding or what defense we were running. Playing a fast pace style getting guys going to the basket on the offensive end. The Jags continued to play with great effort and lead 43-21 heading into their final quarter of action. At the final buzzer the Jags completed their undefeated season with a 54-32 victory over the Titans. Scoring for the Jaguars include: Bennett Nolte (8), Griffin Vote (4), Nicholas Vogel (5), Reece Carlson (15), Tristan Hanson (12), Grant Ott (8) and Jax Hindt (2). Also contributing for the Jaguars include: Brock Peterson, Avery Waugh, Grant Peterson, Dallas Brandel, Bryson Christian, Nolan Albright, Corbin Eslick, and Wyatt Muench. 

Thanks to all the Players, Parents, and Fans for another fun and exciting basketball season. This is truly a fun group of gentlemen that will continue to improve and will be fun to watch on the court for the next several years. Thanks to the administration for the support of the program, we are lucky to have a place that supports our athletes and allows them to grow on and off the court. Go Jags!
