Burnside- The 8th Grade Boys got a home victory 64-40 over the East

Sac County Raiders. It was a battle in the early going and the Jags

went on a mini run and held a 19-9 advantage at the end of the first

quarter. In the second quarter the Jags made their move and took

control of the game on both ends of the floor and held a 41-15 lead at

the halftime break. We wanted to keep switching defenses in the second

half, value the basketball, and not give them second chance

opportunities. Keep sharing the basketball and playing help defense to

stop their main scorer would be key to keep maintaining the advantage.

The pace slowed in the third quarter, but the Jags maintained their

lead at 50-24 heading into the final quarter. The Jags continued to

play and share the basketball and claimed a 64-40 win over the

Raiders. Scoring for the Jaguars include: Bennett Nolte (10), Griffin

Vote (7), Nicholas Vogel (5), Reece Carlson (3), Tristan Hanson (10),

Wyatt Muench (25), and Grant Ott (4). Also contributing for the

Jaguars include: Brock Peterson, Avery Waugh, Grant Peterson, Dallas

Brandel, Bryson Christian, Nolan Albright, Corbin Eslick, and Jax

Hindt. The Jaguars will be back in action on January 12th in Burnside

against Manson Northwest Webster.
