Southeast Valley 7th Grade Cruises Past MNW, 58–25

The Southeast Valley 7th grade boys basketball team kept its momentum rolling with a dominant 58–25 win over Manson Northwest Webster in Barnum on Monday night. The Jaguars jumped out early and never looked back, building a double‑digit lead by halftime and continuing to extend the margin with balanced scoring and relentless defense.

The offense was paced by Dawson Greene and Tripp Roper, who led the way with 16 and 15 points respectively. Cam Johnson and Rocco Jondle chipped in 10 apiece, while Nicco Jondle added 7 to round out the scoring leaders. The Jaguars’ ability to spread the floor and attack both inside and out kept MNW on its heels throughout the contest.

Defensively, Southeast Valley set the tone by playing tenacious defense, limiting second‑chance opportunities and forcing turnovers that turned into transition baskets. The team’s energy and execution on both ends of the floor allowed them to control the game from start to finish. Other contributors on the defensive end included Cooper Lane, Nikota Lyons, Gabe Steck, Cam Nelson, Trayson Gutshall, Eli Bird, Roman Pace, Braxton Pierce, and Jaxson Halsrud.

Coach Steinhoff praised the effort, noting, “Our balance on offense and commitment to defense really showed tonight. The boys played together and kept the pressure on throughout.”

The Jaguars will look to continue their strong play as they host Eagle Grove on Tuesday, December 9th.
