Crazy Game Ends in Jags Favor

6/11 Clarion Goldfield W 5-4 (4-6)

A crazy game ended in the Jags favor on a non conference matchup against the Cowboys. The game would go into extra innings as the Jags down to their last out with runners on third and second would get some help with a miscue from the Cowboys second baseman who would drop the can of corn pop fly allowing Dawson Tuel and Conner Rentz to score tying the game sending it into extra innings. The Jags would get runners in the 8th inning. With Mason Bahr getting to second, Ayden Bintz would courtesy run for Mason. Bringing up Dawson Tuel who would get the big hit the Jags were waiting for a single in the gap scoring Ayden for the winning run. Jags needed a little luck to get the win but a win none the less. On the day Karson Roper had a big day getting two hits. Casey Hanson, Colin Johnson, Mason Bahr and Landon Vote would all have hits and of course Dawson Tuel would make the most of his hit making it the game winner. On the mound Nick Field got the start. The senior was hitting his spots keeping the Cowboys off balance through five innings only allowing two earned runs. Landon Vote would come in the sixth inning and throw three terrific innings of baseball. Striking out for batters and keeping the Jags in striking distance.

Jv Action: 14-4 W (5-0-1)

An offensive explosion by the JV squad saw them walk away with a convincing 14 to 4 win. Conner Rentz and Dawson Tuel got on the mound for the first two innings while Ethan Martin would pitch the last two innings. The birthday boy Martin would have a day at the plate as well going 2 for 3 with 2 RBI's and a double. Every Jag would reach base in the game while Ayden Bintz, Colby Peterson, August Akins, Spencer Peterson, Caden Cramer, Jackson Bintz and Carter Lloyd would single as Riley Fawcett, Tucker Ollinger and Colton Bachel would all walk to reach base. Nice win for the Jag JV team.
